brickdoodle by splatearth brickdoodle by splatearth
I actually completed 3 drawings today!! never done that before, two of them were small and one of those was halfway finished. this one was a big one though and took about 2-3 hours. I'm pleased with how it turned out, I really like the look of the brick behind it.

I really like this and was looking at your other work and that's just as great. I saw how you create art by feeling and don't really plan it out.
Thats how zentangle came about. Have you looked into that at all? I was doodling and messing with mixed media in art journals for a while but always felt like I never finished anything or it was just a step to something else I should do. Well when I stumbled upon the zentangle@ method that was created by a couple who started this based on the meditative quality you get when your just "doodling" and the great pieces of art that comes from the so called "mindless" doodles we do. Well long story short the whole theory is based on "one stroke at a time" and it's about the journey to create and the finished product is the result of the feeling you get from that type of meditative drawing.
I say all of that because some of your stuff looks like that and I'm really loving your pieces. THe graffiti inspired ones are really cool.

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it.
I have looked into it but not nearly as much as I would like. I'm very inspired by the henna style drawing which seems very similar to zentangle in a sense... and it sounds to me what happened to you with zentangle happened to me with henna. Like I found an original style of art that fit really what I was already doing but gave me so many more ideas. I will for sure look more into zentangle bc I see all kinds of them on here and I'd love to see what I could come up with. Thank you again :]
